HMP441001When fitting a new scuttle to a car that has the VIN stamped in it, its advisable to restamp the VIN, either in the scuttle or another part of the body structure (under the rear seat base, or on the edge of the triangle part in the engine bay) as its becomming more common that MOT's, car inspections, DVLA etc want to see the stamped number, and it can be an issue if its not there as it calls the identity of the car into question.
