Verto clutch assembly for all Non Injection cars, supplied unbuilt in separate parts less the centre boss. Fits pre injection cars that all had a pre engaged starter. This has a 190mm plate and a lightened steel flywheel
C-AEG422 which provides better clamping pressure which helps eradicate potential clutch slip. For all Post 90 cars with Carb fitted. This kit does not include the centre boss to keep costs down but is available as
DAM5921.
The later injection type clutch assemblies could be used on carb type engines as they do not require the special pick up points that are built into the flywheels-both single point and twin point use different flywheels.
Injection cars need their own specific flywheel and clutch assembly as the pick up points are different. Note that the twin point flywheel has 4 recess areas in reluctor ring whereas the single point injection only has 2 recesses.
The original flywheels and complete assembly is no longer available from Rover.
