This unit fits directly on to the gearbox in place of the standard cable and produces a digital signal for use with an electronic speedometer requiring a 5 volt square wave pulse such as our electronic speedo
13H4443. For pre 1980 speedo drive pinions use the heatshrink supplied on the end of the drive, for post 1980 no heatshrink is needed.
Wire as per below:
Red Wire - +5 volts supply connects to both the red AND pink wires from the speedometer harness.
Black/Green Wire - Ground/earth
White/Brown Wire - Signal output
The signal is a square wave 7 volt output pulsing 6 times per single revolution of the cable.
It will not work with gauges that require a two wire sine wave input.
Pre 1980 - The drive's dimension is 3.05mm x 3.05mm, square shape.
