All old units for exchange must be fully servicable A plus without damage to case especially idler gear area, and come with the final drive you need. If not, you will be charged for the final drive gear set you need
You can only exchange for exact gearbox ratio being returned unless previously
arranged at our discretion. There is a £400-00 surcharge on old units to encourage exchange at point of sale to check that the old gearbox is re-usable.
Gearbox must be drained and outer case cleaned.

Best way to find diff ratio on most if not known is to count the teeth on the pinion
18 teeth=3.44
19 teeth with 59 on crownwheel=3.1 many 998cc mini and 1275cc carb
19 teeth with 61 on crownwheel=3.2 SPI 1275cc injected except MPI
20 teeth=2.9 998cc economy versions and late cars
