Ultimate helical gear kit for strength, includes special laygear,1st motion shaft, 2nd and 3rd gears to mate with the other standard parts in your gearbox to provide you with a stronger quieter gearbox and 4 synchromesh heavy duty clubman ratio kit. 1st motion shaft is made to fit 18mm nose of A plus mainshaft and laygear is also A plus type. Fitted in our 1380cc show car and rave reviews from Bill Richards who started testing it on his 8port race car in December 2013. Whilst straight cut gears are cheaper to produce the helical type can be made stronger using the right helical cut angles on the teeth.
The gear teeth are modern day technical advanced and wider by 2-3mm with 4th gear and 1st motion as large as we could make them, 3-4mm larger.
Should be assembled by professional/gearbox specialist to make sure all gears are correctly in line as gearbox cases differ, plus baulk rings correctly spaced on gears. Tested by Bill Richards for 400 laps at Brands in his 160HP 8 port engine under race conditions with our twin pin diff, also fitted in our own road car it receives rave reviews for its ratios and quietness.
