Crank damper
is it ok to swap the crank damper pulley from the pressed type to the other type fitted to the 1275?

there is two types as far as iam aware cooper s type with separate damper on the pulley and later type with pully with molded on rubber damper. cooper s is best one but either will be ok for standard-fast road engine. if you have stroked or very high reving engine fancy dampers are prob worth buying. as far as iam aware you can fit either type of damper to any a series crank.

Cranky Pulley wobble
there is a rubber crank damper on the end that i think is part of pully. iv not heard of them breaking down to that degree but i gess if somone spilt something like brake fluid on it it may break down a lot. there about £50 for a new one i think, cant see what else it could be if bolts are tight. can u feel play in it?.

Dynamic Crank Balancing
Hi Wondering if anyone can tell me what exactly needs to be fitted to the crank to have it dynamicly balanced, is it just the flyweel at one end and the dynamic damper at the other or do you need to fit the timing chain cog preassure plate , cluth plate and clutch cover ?

how well is ur project doing
i'm slowly getting on with my project just taking it easy with no finishing deadline but no budjet either. just finished painting my front subframe and fitted all new poly bushes wheel bearings stainless steel brake hoses and suspention cones. soon to be coming will be a nice new set of minisport 4 pot callipers with vented disks and gaz dampers.
got my lil 998 engine stripped down it's been cleaned up and painted red. the block is getting sent off to be bored out +60 thou and getting a 1098 crank put in with a fast road cam and full roller rockers can't wait.
wen thats all put back together the next job is going to be the rear subframe.... to be continued....
