Hub caps????

Can anybody tell me if the chrome or stainless steele hubcaps wil fit 12 wheels???? I know they are originaly designed for 10 wheels....

So what do de lumps loke like anyway? I always thought that the hub caps pressed against the inner circle around the bolts. I e-mail minispares a while ago but havent heard from them....

Price

hi if there is little rust on the mini it has got to be worth at least £1000. if it is mechanicaly sound full mot & tax and in tidy shape you may get £1500-2000 you will get more for the mini if it is advertised in a mini place ( mags, site etc) but if advertise locally ppl are less likly to pay the extra couple of quid. try getting some nice hub caps. it will make a hell of a diffence and make it more appealing. they dont cost that much.

Rims

will that mean that i will have to modify the outer arch because the tyres are already really close, less than a figers width when turned. I done a calculation and 145mm tyres turn out 5.7" wide so i thought 5 or 5.5 would suit it, if not i will jut refurb the standard ones and remove the hub caps.

I nearly died today!

On the way to birmingham I was cruising along the A34 in stafford in my banged up mini when i heard a rumbling sound.I didnt think anything of it as I was too busy concentrating on what I was doing(which is a sensible thing to do when driving).

I was clocking about 60 mile an hour with a car right up my arse and all of a sudden there was a bang and the car started swerving across the road as I tried not to panic I looked out the back window and saw my hubcap rolling into the bushes on the other side of the road.I managed to keep the car under control until it had stopped.

I looked in the rear view mirror again and looked at my face I was white as a ghost.(fucking hell i wasnt dead).

I got out the car and looked at the wheels and one of the rear wheels wasn't even there! i had a look for my wheel in the grass and on the side of the road and couldn't find it.oh well i at least had a spare....hmm there was a small problem tho,where was the nuts that held on the wheel?shit i couldnt put my wheel on without the nuts.

i decided that i would look for the nuts but there was no sign of them anywhere,then remembering that the hub cap had gone into the woods  i decided to have a look for it cus you never know.

low and behold the centre of the hubcap was still on and guess what?...there where the nuts that hold the fecking wheel on.

Bar this in mind though it took from losing my wheel to getting back on the road an hour and a half....only one person stopped to ask if i was o.k  and i'm grateful to him because i had no idea where i was.cheers phil.

(Imust of smoked about 30 fags before Iplucked up the courage to carry on my way)

I glad to say im fine and Ishall check my nuts before driving any distance in the future.B warned people it can and does happen.Time togo home now just hope nothing else happens.c yall soon

I'm new on here as I have some stuff to sell on. Recently found out we are expecting our first child and so won't have time to get into the garage and need some money for the trust fund!!

So stuff being offered:

Cylinder head, 11 stud, fully ported & polished,  16.6cc combustion chambers, 36mm inlet, 31mm outlet valves, also has some sucessful Mini Miglie racing history. £485

Front hubs complete with standard later disks but Metro vented disks and 4 pot calipers also available. £185

Hardy Spicer drive shafts. £45 

Rear trailing arms with spacer drums, also include barand new backing plates, adjusters, etc. £75

Shurrock Supercharger! yes you read right it's an original C75b with the proper inlets for a mini engine as far as I can work out. You will need a crank pulley and to alter the timing but it's in good condition and should really power your mini along. £1000. That's the main stuff but I have some other bits and bobs like a new starter motor, a steering column, some side and rear glass, a steering rack, a A008 tyre, some standard 12" wheels and tyres, rear seats roof liner, new exterior body seam caps and maybe a few other small bits.

As I have not been keeping up with the scene for a while I don't know if my asking prices above are too high so all items above are open to serious and sensible offers and I will not be offended if you send me a cheeky offer.
