1995 Mini Cooper 1.3i 34,000 miles
M Reg 1.3i Cooper 34,000 miles, new MOT
In White and Black
Right then, here is an M Reg Cooper in White with a black roof and bonnet stripes. Showing 34,000 miles on the clock and MOT to April next year.
The car is completly original and unmolested/modified. The only none original spec items are the adjustable Koni Shockers (standard items from a sports pack mini) and a none genuine rear fog light.
I wouldn't describe the car as imaculate, but the shell is really solid. The skuttle, boot floor etc are all solid with no rust. The front valance (below the bumper) has had a plate welded round the drivers side subframe mounting. I've skimmed this with filler and painted the valance with white stone chip.
The front panel had some slight surface rust in the usual places. I've cleaned this all up and painted the front panel. The colour match isn't prefect, but it's much better than the rust.
The subframes are both fine, as you'd expect with the low mileage.
The wheels are the original minilites, in average condition. The front tyres are almost new and the rears have around 5mm of tread.
The engine runs really well and pulls well through the gears.
The car has been garaged for the last few years. We bought it as the last owner was loosing his garage and didn't have time to put it back on the road.
The half leather inerior is in really good condition. The front seats are the big bolstered ones. They are a little grubby and could do with a clean. I'll do this if I get chance.
I have one old MOT certificate issued in June 2001, showing 29,129 miles. The general condition of the car is all consistant with the low mileage.
When we bought the car, we HPi checked it. Unfortunately, in 1998 the car was classed as a Category D write off the car was safe and economical to be repaired, but the insurance company decided not to. Maybe they would have to buy a new shell??
The car has had a passenger side sill, a sill step and a repair to the door. The repairs look to be to a good standard. The car drives straight and true, so I don't think the shell was badly damaged.
I've been told, that with out the insurance marker, the car would have been worth about £3000. With that in mind I'm only asking for £1,695 ono. If the asking price is paid, I will tax the car for 6 months.
I may part exchange on another mini (but nothing none mini). W.H.Y.?
The car is located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire (S71). It is currently sorned.
